Hi, I’m Margo Mejia– here’s an intro about me!
I like to think of myself as a holistic-oriented, well-rounded person. My biggest focus is on promoting environmentalism, sustainability, and regenerative systems. I am also highly interested in child psychology and development– working with children is a great skill of mine. I combined these interests and have been running educational garden programs as a consultant in Chicago since 2013. Check out my pages about the programs and services I offer, and how I got into garden programming.
When I was in college, I worked as a photojournalist for our college newspaper The Daily Illini and ever since have had a passion for photography. While running my programs, I always document our activities and what’s growing! All the photos on this site are my originals.
I am an advocate for personal wellness and self-care– an important facet of this is nutrition and cooking, which I endeavor to tie into my programs as much as possible. As a side business, I also create homemade organic body care products– find out more about my brand Healing Nature.
Meanwhile, I am an artist and continue to develop my craft. I have been singing and recording vocals since 2013, and I also play acoustic guitar. Check out my music page for more info!
Other related interests of mine include social justice activism, cooperative economies, and permaculture. In addition, I love traveling, biking, winter sports (ice skating and snowboarding), and knitting.
Feel free to get in contact with me— I’d love to hear from you!
